Inspiration for Studying

Today I need some serious inspiration for studying.  I am one final away from graduation and it is like slow torture to sit here and study.  I've managed to waste the whole day away so far doing nothing productive whatsoever.  Whoops.

I'm loving this beautiful craftroom.  It has the perfect amount of distressing and vintage appeal to look well worn it, making is the perfect place for working.  Plus, the cubby holes for storage, the hanging ribbon spools, and that cute three-tier hanging basket offer the perfect amount of storage.

Except if I had this space I would be crafting the day away, definitely not studying.

Royal Wedding!!

I managed to actually wake up and watch the Royal Wedding this morning...and I thought it was absolutely stunning!!  Congratulations to William and Catherine, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
Her dress is amazing.  The more I looked at it, the more I loved it.
I can only imagine what was going through her head at this point.
I loved her sister's dress too.
Look at that love :)
And of course my favorite...the kiss!

Can't wait to see more pictures of this fairy tale event!!

The Wedding!!

I'm hoping and planning to wake up at 5:00 to watch coverage of the Royal Wedding! I'm expecting it to be beautiful, so I can't wait to tune in (although I will be setting the DVR in case my body has other plans and refuses to wake up)
Congratulations William and Catherine!!

Will you be tuning in to the wedding?!

Symmetry

Definitely a far stretch from my usual taste, but I am loving the symmetry in this room.

What do you think?  Too much balance, or just the right amount?

Laundry Room

Do you hate doing laundry?  Surprisingly, it is one of the household chores that I actually don't mind doing.  Its a pretty mindless task, and I love seeing all of my clean clothes folded up in neat stacks.  Check out this cute little laundry room.
The stacked washer and dryer make this tiny room work just perfectly.  I love the shelves with all the organized supples and the damask ironing board.  Pretty Pretty.

Hoppy Easter!!

Happy Easter!!
I hope you got to spend the day relaxing with your family and munching on some delicious goodies from the Easter bunny!!

Do you love these Easter-themed jars as much as I do?  Such a cute and inexpensive decoration, plus they can be devoured after the day is over! So fun!

Library

I would love to sit in this room and get my read on.

Easter Brunch

Who's excited for Easter?  I for one can't wait.  This year, I decided to give up all sweets AND all chips for Lent, and this 40 days has been long and hard.  Normally, I just give up sweets, and that alone is difficult enough.  This year, the chips have been killer.  And the second you decide to give something up, you only want it 100 times more.  I made a special request that the Easter bunny bring me a bag of chips, and I will be quite thrilled.  Yum

But speaking of brunch, check out these dining areas.  Wouldn't these rooms make your Easter morning a whole lot brighter (particularly if you're in the Chicagoland area and the sun has decided to hate us and disappear forever)

Love the green with the black and white.

So springy.  Love it!

What are your plans for Easter Sunday?  Did you give up anything for Lent?

Perfect Entryway

Say hello to the perfect entryway.  Seriously, I'm drooling (I know, I know...I say this a lot), but I'm serious.  Its the perfect place to hang your jacket and set down your bag after a long day.  And the little storage boxes and the splashes of color and pattern just cal my name.  Its the perfect use of a small, tucked away corner.  A++ in my book!

Kate Middleton: Hats

Are you excited about the upcoming Royal Wedding?  I know I certainly am...which is something the bf teases me about every time I bring it up.  He thinks its stupid that I'm excited about it, but I honestly am.  I guess more than anything...I am intrigued.  I think Kate (or should I say Catherine...as she will have to be addressed after the wedding) is just gorgeous, and I love her sense of style.

People magazine online has a whole section dedicated to Kate and the royal wedding, and yesterday, I feel in love with some of her hats.  Check these out:

This last one is my favorite...I love feathers!! Plus, she is just so stinkin' beautiful!

So tell me...will you be tuning in for the Royal Wedding (or DVRing since its on at like 3 am Chicago time?)

Perfect Desk Space

Keeping with yesterday's turquoise theme:

Let me present to you the ultra-glamorous office of designer Mary McDonald.
If I had an office like this, I feel that school would be a bit more enjoyable.
I would switch out the pictures on the wall for some black and white photos of the Eiffel Tower and switch the lamps for some pretty sparkly crystal ones, and then never ever leave this room again.
Seriously...I'm one jealous girl :)

Turquoise

Maybe its the freezing cold temperatures Chicago is currently experiencing or the fact that when I woke up there was SNOW on the ground, but I'm in the mood for some pretty spring colors.

Random yes...but all have a beautiful turquoise that is the focus of the entire room.
Turquoise backsplash.  This would make the perfect summer beach home (which is where I'm basically dying to be at this point in time)
Subtle but beautiful.  I picture this is a little cottage tucked in a picturesque small town (seriously...I'm fantasizing big time today)
I could eat breakfast here every morning and be perfectly content for the rest of my life :)
Bright bold and beautiful
Love the wallpaper, love the couch, love the rug, love the table, love the crown molding
Did I mention I love this room?
That light on the ceiling has me drooling in this room.  And that headboard.
Maybe I should cozy up in here with a good book and hide away from this cold weather.
Definitely would have less of a reason to complain

Hope you're days been warmer than mine!!

Calling All Readers

Calling all readers...

I'm looking for new books to read.  With the school year winding down, I actually have some free time on my hands, and am dying to get into a good book.  My Kindle has been sitting lonely for weeks, and it is begging me to come back.

So please, if you have any suggestions of books you just love...send them my way!! I'm open to anything!  Thanks lovies!

Red

Well, I can't exactly tell if it is red or orange in this picture, but either way, me likie.  I'm usually not a real big fan of either, except around certain holidays, but this room is getting me thinking.  And I like it a lot.

Maybe it is the color, maybe it is the sheer perfection of everything else in the room.  The grey-blue walls, the bright white linens, the beautiful pillows with their different patterns, or those to-die-for stools at the foot of the bed.  I like, and now I'm feeling like my own room is in desperate need for a bunch of bold color (and new linens, new pillows...)

Screaming Spring

Well if this room doesn't scream spring, I don't know what does!!
Love the hot pink.  Not a room that would actually work for most people, but the picture sure does make me smile.

We're supposed to reach upper 80s today in Chicago, so I'm hoping to get to enjoy some of this beautiful weather!!

EdenFantasys

So...you all know my love affair with EdenFantasys.  If you haven't checked out their site before, I really don't know what you are waiting for.  Its a one-stop shop for all of your adult romance needs.  And with affordable prices, free shipping on purchases over $59, and a free gift with every order, it is one of my favorite online shopping experiences!

I have a few gift cards saved up, and I plan on huge purchase.  And well-deserved I would say.  I'm about to finish a huge research project, graduate from college, and I just got accepted into graduate school.  Plus, the boyfriend just signed a lease on his first apartment in the city.  Time to CELEBRATE!!  So of course, I have been looking at EdenFantasys for all of our celebratory needs.

But perhaps first on the list will be some of their more sensual, relaxing products.  I have been dying to try a massage candle.  I have read so much about them, so I think this will be added to the cart first.
I'm also thinking some other massage oil will be necessary.
Or maybe some body souffle
I don't know about you, but this looks like the perfect start to a relaxing, romantic weekend in!  So maybe once school, projects, moving, and graduation are over, this long-awaited weekend can finally be mine.  Go check out EdenFantasys today, and start picking out everything you need for your perfect weekend in :)
