Just a Few More Tables

Need a few more last minute table ideas for Thanksgiving?  Remember, you can change the whole atmosphere of your holiday just by the table settings.  Whether you want it to be casual, formal, rustic, chic, or something else...you can totally set the atmosphere with your table.  Here are a final few ideas I'm loving:
Indian corn, small pumpkins, and gourds in a pretty glass dish.  This is an easy yet festive centerpiece.
Use pears for place card holders.
I LOVE these! So elegant!
Cut mini pumpkins and use them for candlestick holders! So cute!

Okay...I'm done with Thanksgiving tables.  I hope you have found something you love :)

Thanksgiving Table, cont.

I've got a few more beautiful Thanksgiving dinner tables to show you, in case you were still looking for a few last minutes ideas to dress up your Thanksgiving holiday.  A lot of you probably spent the day today shopping for food if you're hosting this year, or cleaning the house...or a little of both!  The day is almost here!
I love a rich purple color for fall.  Plus, it looks great with all the fall gourds, and gives the table a touch of drama.
Use some pumpkins, twine, and some newspaper or old book pages to create unique name holders.
Reds, oranges, and golds are all beautiful fall colors.  Add a flower arrangement for a beautiful, easy centerpiece.
Browns are another beautiful fall color.  Just make sure you have a good balance of lights and darks.
Place mini pumpkins on candlesticks for an unexpected surprise.
Use some leaves, and different patterns on the dishes.  Simple, easy, and elegant.
Add some height to your table with a tall centerpiece.  Sticks with beautiful leaves are easy, cheap, and disposable!

Do you do anything special for your Thanksgiving dinner table?

Get Ready for Fall

Thinking about Thanksgiving already?  It is already just right around the corner, and decorating is certainly on my mind.  We basically skipped the Halloween decorations this year, but would like to transform our house with some fall colors before the Christmas decor goes up!  Check out some of these great ideas:
Add spray-painted pinecones to the tops of lamps for a simple splash of fall.
I just love this cornucopia table setting with the white pumpkins and yellow and gold colors.
Add some dried corn and ribbon to the door for a welcoming fall entry.
Add pumpkins, gourds, and some straw to your empty planters and window boxes.  Simple and cheerful.
Hollow out some gourds and fill with flowers.  They make for some cute fall vases.
Add cranberries to your Thanksgiving flower vases.

What do you do to decorate for Thanksgiving?

Fall Decorations

Halloween has passed and Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, so its time to take down those Halloween decorations and stick to some classic fall-themed decor.  I am totally loving this mantel, which will be beautiful to keep around until Thanksgiving.
A cute chalkboard, some sticks found outside, gold letters, and some pinecones and gourds make for the perfect fall setting.

Last Minute Halloween Decorations

Can you believe tomorrow is Halloween?  I certainly can't.  It seems like summer just ended, and yet it is already almost time to start getting ready for the winter holidays.  Yikes!!

If you are having a last minute Halloween get together, check out some of these adorable, super easy decorations.  Like I always say, the decorations really help make the party...so make it a memorable night!
Half a pumpkin filled with ice...perfect festive way to keep drinks cold.
I've seen this pumpkin idea a few times this year, and it is so darn cute! Cut a whole and insert plastic vampire teeth...thats the easiest pumpkin carving you'll ever do!
Glue some black face cutouts on orange balloons.  Simple but very festive.
This would be so fun for an adult Halloween party! Black lights around the bar make for a spooky, fun atmosphere.
Fill hard with colored water and creepy things you find around the house.  Spooky specimen jars for your guests to wonder over.
Dip mini pumpkins in glitter.  Cute and sparkly way to decorate any room.
Tape a ghost cutout over a mirror for a surprise reflection!
Use goggly eyes to make some fun, goofy pumpkins!

I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween!!

Orange Rooms

With the weather getting cooler, the leaves falling, and Halloween just around the corner, the color orange has certainly been on my mind a lot lately.  Normally, it is not a color that I tend to favor, but lately, I have been loving it.  Especially when used in the home.  Check out some of these fabulous orange rooms.
Love love love this pop of color in the dining room! It looks especially beautiful with the gold sunburst mirror (which I also think is fabulous by the way)
Using orange on one wall is a great way to bring this bold color into any room.  I like how they balance it with an orange painting on the opposite wall.  Plus, check out those cute orange chairs on the patio.
Chair cushions can be a great way to bring a fun pop of color into an otherwise neutral kitchen.
Using orange pillow and blankets is a great accessory that brings in color, and can easily be changed with the seasons.  Such an easy way to mix up a room.
I love this orange seating area! The rustic orange chairs look fabulous against the white fireplace.
Another use of orange as an accent wall color.

Tell me...do you have any orange in your house?

Halloween Festivities

Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about Halloween?  Where is time going?!
I've always loved Halloween.  It is such a fun holiday whether you are young or old...and seriously is one of the most creative holidays.  Now that I'm older, I can really appreciate all the amazing Halloween home decorations people do...everyone is so creative!  If you are throwing a Halloween party this year, check out some of my favorite ideas by who other than Ms. Martha Stewart.
Love these invites! My aunt did this one year and they turned out sooo cute!
Coffin tables
Monster buffet table.  This would be cute for a kids party.
Mystery specimens in apothecary jars?  I also love the collection of silhouettes hanging on the walls.
Whats that in the punchbowl?
Eyeball cocktails! THis would definitely be a conversation starter!

What are your favorite Halloween traditions?

Decorating for Fall

In continuance with yesterday's post, I decided to find a few more practical fall touches, easy things that you can do without having to change the whole style of your room.  Because obviously, that just isn't practical.  But I really do love decorating my house for each different season, because it makes everything so must more festive.
Love the pretty fall plants to decorate the front porch.  And while it may be a little too early for pumpkins, get ready for them in a few short weeks!
Love this tablescape!  The dark purple table cloth is so perfect for fall! And I love those beautiful floral centerpieces.
Perfect for an entryway.
Again, beautiful fall leaves make an easy way to bring the beauty of fall inside.
So cute for the front porch! I really love the use of branches with leaves to add some color, plus its easy and cheap.
Wouldn't you love to attend a dinner party here?
Love the use of rustic decorations mixed with pumpkins, gourds, and candles to create a stunning fall atmosphere.

What is your favorite thing about fall?
