I Want...

Happy New Year everyone!  Can you believe that 2010 is already over?  I certainly can't!  What a good year it was, but I am so excited for this next year!  I'm working on a resolutions post, hopefully I will have it finished tomorrow.  I'm currently enjoying the rest of winter break by watching Dexter 24/7, I just got into the show and I'm totally hooked.  I watched almost an entire season yesterday.  Gotta love these lazy days.

Anywho...I wnated to share a little picture with you that makes me drool every time I see it.  One day, one day...this will be on a wall in my house.  Or so I hope.  I already have a seriously love affair with leaning bookshelves, and this one just maximizes its full potential.  Love love love.

Seriously...look at that beauty.  Sheer perfection if you ask me.  I love the spots for the wine, the glasses, and just all of that open storage.  I hate having to put pretty dishes hidden away in a cabinet, and this is the perfect way to display them.

Can't Resist

One more because I simply can't resist. Seriously one of my favorite pictures for a bathroom I've ever seen. I'm dying.

anthropologie please

So finals are approximately 4 days away, and all my motivation went out the window about a week ago. Lets be real now, longer ago than that, but this week has been pretty bad. So in my never ending procrastination attempts (err... successes) this week, I have spent way too much time on the anthropologie website. Which is bad, considered I want everything I see.

Simple and elegant. Love the shape.

This is one of my favorites. Seriously, so beautiful. I love the haphazard beautiful painted detail on the bottom.

Perfect for some outdoor summer living. How cute for the back patio?

I'm not sure how I feel about this pattern, but I love the shape of the chair and its legs.

Yes this is a knob. I must admit that whenever I stop in there I always have to check out their hardware. I love the glass color of this little guy

Love this. Come into my bedroom, I have the perfect place for you!

And these little cuties are measuring cups. How awesome?!

Pretty decorations. They would look great on a table in the sun.

This is another one of my favorites. Its a candle holder...the picture below is a picture of it all lit up!

How original!! I love it!

Cream and sugar holder. Love the shapes!

Another knob. How stunning!!

I am absolutely adoring this clock. Most perfect clock ever

Pattern is a bit funky, but I love love love the style of this bench. I would love the fabric to be grey.

Perfect mirror. Rustic and elegant.

I love this bedding!!

I swear the have the most gorgeous shower curtains I've ever seen.

How I wish. Maybe if I actually had a job and an income it would be a more useful wall to spend my time. Now I'm just lustfully dreaming. I should be doing something way more productive, but lets face it...this is way more fun!

Sex and The City

In exactly one month from yesterday...this will be playing at the big screen. I cannot wait!! I may just have to pull out all the seasons and watch them in honor of this upcoming event. Schools almost over, so why not?

Ladder Shelves

These are my recent finding that I totally love!! They're simple yet soo cute!!

They just have so much more dimension and are much more eye-appealing than a standard bookshelf.

What a fun desk! I love it!

I like them in a family room for some pretty decoration, but they would also be good in a bathroom to hold extra towels and things like that. I saw one at Target over the weekend that I really like, but my moms suspects her boyfriend can easily make me one for much cheaper (and probably look even better). So maybe this summer I will end up with one of my own!

Wish of the Week

I cannot tell you how badly I want this little beauty. I just love it! This chair was on the cover of a Pier One ad a few weeks ago and I feel in love with it. Too bad it really doesn't match my room, or I would seriously need to go buy it. Maybe for the apartment next year...once we finally find a place.

Label Lust

I found myself getting a little err....lost? on the David Yurman website today. I just couldn't take my eyes off his stunning jewelry. Here are some of my favorites from the day...

Mmmm...I wish. Everything is so beautiful. I really love the the rings and bracelets with the pearls. This is as big as I could get the pictures to save, disappointing I know, but you get the picture!! Enjoy your night!

Sweet Dreams

Time to curl up in bed, watched my missed episode of Gossip Girl from last week, and fall asleep. Another full day tomorrow. I wish I had these pretty ruffled sheets from anthropologie to go to sleep on...they sure look like they would give you some good dreams. Goodnight yall!

Perfect Cluch

I came across DavieandChiyo's Esty shop, and completely fell in love. They sell customized bridal clutches, but if you ask me, they are clutches that are perfect for any occasion!! I'm seriously debating ordering one, but I'm not sure which one to choose, I love them all! Here are some of my favorites

So feminine but so classy!! I really love the bright pink and the black and white one. I have some serious debating to do if I'm going to actually purchase one!

Inspiration

What a perfect way to store and organize jewelry! Maybe this summer if I can clear an entire drawer to devote to this cause, I will have turn this image into life. I love the bright colors of the teacups and saucers, you could find these for cheap anywhere. I have been searching for a good way to organize all mine, and I think I have found the winner!

Umbrellas

Lingerie inspired umbrellas?! yes please!! I'll take any of them, except the one on the bottom left corner. I first thought the one in the upper right was my favorite, but the more I look, the more I'm not sure. As rainy season approaches...I'll take all three!

Happy Friday

Its Friday!! Unfortuantely for me that means that school is resuming in just two short days, but I'm sure everyone else is glad for the weekend.

But please...where the heck is spring? We were able to enjoy some warm sunny weather a few weeks ago, but now it is cold, windy, and grey. Come back sun and warm weather, please!!

Kitchen Lust...

Swap the white island out for a dark wood one for contrast and this would be my dream kitchen. Oh...and add a farmhouse sink. To die for...

Printed Chairs

I'm totally obsessed with bright, printed chairs lately. I want I want I want. I was walking on Michigan Ave. a few weeks ago and saw this one at Crate & Barrel and fell in love. I'm really loving grey and yellow lately, and I love the punch of blue in this one.

Chair

Safe to say that this dining room chair is practically perfect. I love the white leather with the dark legs. It is the perfect mix of comfort and elegance. And it is currently on sale at One Kings Lane for the great price of $249 (normally $495)!!

I want, no...I need this chandelier. From Shabby Chic of course. I wish the ceiling in my bedroom was higher, it would be perfect.

Oh Kate...

Kate Winslet and her husband are splitting up. Which makes me sad, because I am um...obsessed with her. Yes, its true. She and Leo stole my heart in Titanic.

Oh Leo...Marry Me? I confess...I watched Titanic for the millionth time this weekend. It makes my heart happy.

Just a closing pic of my
favorite scene. :)

Hm....

Sooo...its a Saturday, and what am I doing? Staying in and studying. Booo! Two tests on Monday, one in patho/pharm and one in med-surg. I've been trying to study all day, and my brain is just ready to explode. Yikes! So in between my studying I've been talking long breaks to look at some blogs and different things online. Wayyy to distracting, but I've been discovering lots of new things:

1. My love for all things distressed. I've always liked this style of furniture, but the more I see it, the more I fall in love. I could never picture decorating an entire house with it, I think it would be a little bit too beachy/relaxed for me, but it could definately work for certain rooms. Bedrooms are my fav, but I keep seeing distressed china cabinets that I love. I found this picture online for a bathroom, how perfect is that cabinet?! I prefer more all white distressing, this has some green/blue paint, but I love the idea of it. I have decided that this summer, when school is finally over, I am going to learn how to distress furniture!! Wooo! I plan on finding something at a garage sale to start with, so that way it is not a big deal if I don't like how it turns out. So for now, I'm looking up different techniques of what to do!!

2. Quilts. I've been wanting a quilt for FOREVER, I think they are so beautiful. Right now, I really have no place for one though. My room at home has bedding that matches the rest of the room, and the room in my apartment does not deserve a quilt because I would probably ruin it with pen and highlighter and food, because I live in my bed during school. So, I'm left dreaming for one when I have my own future apartment.... I spent forever looking on Etsy the other night at some of the beautiful quilts people have created, and just fell in love. I recently saw one in a magazine that I wanted terribly, but for the life of me I cannot remember the maganize!! Don't you just hate when that happens?! Here's the one I love on Etsy, and its only $60. Not big enough for an entire bed, but it would look beautiful as a throw!! Hint hint boyfriend...It's almost valentine's day. :)

3. Fleece Sheets. So in has gotten to be quite chilly in the good 'ole Windy City lately, and let me tell you, I am not a fan! My apartment is freezing and the three big windows in my room do not help. I keep my space heater on all the time, and still...freezing. So for those of you who haven't discovered fleece sheets, GO GET SOME!! They are soo snuggly and warm, perfect for these freezing cold winter nights. My aunt got my a chocolate brown set this year, and I'm now a fleece sheet convert. The only problem is, when morning comes, I do not want to get out of their snuggly warmth.

Wouldn't you just love to crawl into this bed every night?
Well, that is all for tonight I guess. I hope everyone is having a more exciting Saturday then I am. It's back to the books, lets keep those fingers crossed for an A!
