Dare I say sheer perfection on this one?  Clean white cabinets + dark wood floors= my dream kitchen.  I'm loving the open glass cabinets on top, the simplicity of the appliances, and the beautiful marble back splash.

And again, the simple pop of pink makes me happy.  It is immediately eye-catching because it is so unexpected.

also....to my readers...is my background coming up as my pink and brown background, or is it just plain white?  It is white on my computer, and I can't figure out if it is just me, or if the background disappeared.  If you could let me know what you see, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm Back

I'm back.  For real this time.  I know, I know I keep saying that, but this time I'm really going to try!  With school and everything, sometimes I get so caught up in other things that my blogging slips through the cracks.  I still read others, but my own sits all lonely in cyber world.  So I'm going to try to change that.  Starting tonight.  

As you all know, I love house design.  And that is what I am going to try to get back to posting about.  It is such a release from everything life for me, it is exactly what I need to take my mind of the chaos of school and life.  I'm going to focus more on organization tips, design ideas a love, some of my DIY projects, and some beautiful images that I love. So as I was doing some hard work  procrastinating tonight, I started doing some searching online.  And i came across a new must have on my list for the future.

Blizzard!!

So it sounds like most of the country is expecting some major bad weather throughout the next few days.  We here in Chicago are expecting up to 2 feet of snow...YIKES!!  Schools are closing, libraries are closing early, doctors offices are shutting down.  Its going to be a ghost town around here come about 4:00 this afternoon.  Kind of exciting, but kind of scary.  Luckily for me, I have the rest of the week off school, so I headed to the 'burbs to hole up at my mom's house.  There is already stew in the croc-pot for dinner tonight, and she stocked up on groceries yesterday.  I'll have to post some pictures later when the snow really starts falling...its not too bad yet but is supposed to get heavy tonight, 2-3 inches an hour!!
